PETALING JAYA (Dec 17): Mah Sing Group Bhd’s M Centura in Sentul is now completed, and the developer is set to deliver vacant possession.
According to a statement on Friday (Dec 17), Mah Sing founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum shared that they are proud to have managed to keep their promise for vacant possession, targeted for the fourth quarter of 2021.
“M Centura is Mah Sing’s first baby under the M-series, demonstrating that we can deliver on our brand promise of providing premium resort lifestyle homes that are affordable in a KL city address. Thus, hosting the media appreciation night here is perfect to showcase the quality of our affordable range development,” Leong added
Mah Sing hosted a private year-end appreciation event at M Centura on Thursday to commemorate its completion.
Mah Sing group chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Ho Hon Sang said that following the success of M Centura, Mah Sing launched M Arisa, its second freehold property in Sentul, back in January 2020, which still has limited units available.
"We anticipated that the advantageous location of Sentul, which provides easy access to lifestyle amenities and infrastructure, as well as overflowing demand from M Centura, would pique interest in M Arisa. Based on the healthy take-up this year despite the pandemic, we are certain that we are on the right direction in launching the M-series,” Ho shared.
Mah Sing’s M-series, under the “Reinvent Affordability” initiative, generally offers an indicative selling price from RM300,000 for a three-bedroom unit.
M Nova in Kepong, which is the developer’s recent land acquisition, offers an indicative selling price from RM318,000 for a 850 sq ft unit.
Ho added: "M Centura was first launched in 2017 as part of our 'Reinvent Affordability' initiative, with the goal of reinventing what it means to be affordable and developing more affordably-priced homes to address the market's supply-demand gap. With the birth of M Centura, the public can see the quality and opulence of our affordable development range project outcomes. We take pride in understanding the market’s needs for affordable homes and never compromise on quality."
Talking about M Centura, Ho said in the statement that Mah Sing wanted to create a healthy ecosystem with plenty of species in M Centura.
“We discovered that planting trees in M Centura helps to increase biodiversity by providing food and a natural habitat for birds and squirrels. We believe M Centura will improve the lives of residents and those in the surrounding area for generations to come, with over 450 new trees, 24 of which were transplanted and one preserved, as well as environmentally friendly features like a rainwater harvesting system, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for hybrid and electric cars, and other premium amenities like a centralised garbage disposal system and laminated safety glass panels that reduce heat and noise."
As one enters M Centura, they will be greeted with a 15-year-old umbrella-shaped rain tree called Samanea Saman. The tree’s canopy serves as a parasol, blocking up to 90% of the sun’s radiation. There are also 24 over-10-year-old Hopea Odorata trees, also known as “merawan siput jantan”, transplanted.
“Mah Sing is proud to be able to preserve the trees as they are known to be vulnerable species under IUCN Red List classification,” the statement said.
